Q Theatre

Age Restrictions

Improv comedy with power balls.

Late night comedy improv makes a welcome return to a brand new home in Auckland City. The shiny Q Theatre will play host to late night laughs every Friday night until Christmas in a season of hilariously making s**t up on the spot.

Improv Survivor, Jane Austen meets the Zombies, Sex, Lies and Improvise and much much more will be brought to you by the cream of Auckland’s improvising talents. From old hands (Penny Ashton, Lori Dungey, Geoff Dolan), to young bloods (Eli Matthewson, Chris Neels), to famous graduates(Craig Parker, Madeleine Sami, Mark Ferguson and Jeremy Elwood), everyone will have you hitting the laughs jackpot.

“...engaging entertainment full of fun and frivolity." - Austen Found: The Undiscovered Musicals of Jane Austen, NZ Herald, October 2010

"ConArtists are consummate performers. They make improv look so easy you'll think you could get up and give it a go." - Austen Found: The Undiscovered Musicals of Jane Austen, Theatreview, May 2009

“...it is clear that the ConArtists are the professional, seasoned variety of improv artists. They don’t miss a beat.” - Theatreview, Sex, Lies and Improvise July 2010

“The space at The Drake was packed with very happy punters and more than half enjoyed themselves so much they went back for Sex, Lies and Improvise at 8:30” - Bite Me: FangProv, Theatreview, May 2010

Members of ConArtists have entertained audiences all over the world. Penny Ashton and Lori Dungey were victorious at the Edmonton Improvoganza Masters of the Universe tournament and both represented NZ in the Theatresports World Cup in Germany in 2006. October 28th – Theatre is unavailable.

November 4th - Sex, Lies and Improvise. After 4 sell-out seasons in the NZ International Comedy Festival, SLI is back to tickle more than your funny bone.
