How are you? What have you been up to lately?
Amiria
I’ve been performing loads of gigs in Christchurch (my hometown) over the last few months but I’m back in Wellington until Fly My Pretties kicks off again. :)
What’s your favourite thing about the NZ summer?
Amiria
Playing at the many outdoor festivals around the country.
FMP are well known for their outstanding live show. What’s in store for A Day On The Green?
Have you performed in NZ wineries before?
What’s the best thing about it?
Amiria
Reuniting with all the great muso's and performing in the sunshine...
Who is the main songwriter for FMP? Tell us about that process.
Amiria
We all are. We each bring a song or two to the table, have a jam, decide who we want doing what on which song and then it all comes together pretty quickly.
What’s it like on stage when you’re performing with that many people?
Amiria
Amazing. They all rock.
Do you like playing outdoors?
Amiria
Yes for sure – it’s my favourite place to play music.
Tell us about your upcoming plans?
Amiria
I’m hoping to write some new songs over the next year to work on a new album. I hope to perform around the country a bit more, and bring up my little girl with music and grace.
What’s your favourite restaurant/bar/café in Christchurch?
Amiria
'Indian Summer' in Sumner - the service is always wonderful, the meals come out quickly and is all very delicious, our favourite place to go before or after a film at Hollywood Cinema in Sumner.
