My favourite restaurant has re-opened in a new location, 19 Bealey Ave (Hagley Park end of Bealey Ave on Calton Mill Cnr) on 6 January 2012. Its original restaurant in Peterborough St was damaged by the February 2011 earthquake in Christchurch.
It feels good to see the familiar faces of the restaurant manager and staff. It's like coming home, really ;-)
The restaurant's new 'look' is light and airy with a good view of Hagley Park at the first floor.
They have a different menu this time due to the limited kitchen space but their offerings are still yummy, of course!
For our first lunch at the new location, I had liver pate partnered with a glass of Pegasus Bay Riesling. Nom nom nom!
