The Pedal Pusher, in Addington Christchurch, is part of the NZ Pub Company. It is a vibrant and funky gastro pub with great food and drinks, fantastic staff and the place to be.We would like to be your local...your home away from home.

Went for lunch to the Pedal Pusher today, no car park to the Cafe, hard to find parks as on the main road.

The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm, the service was quick and the music was at a good volume.

We had the breads and were impressed by the amount and the taste and the price, not sure about the ribs being served on wooden chopping boards, the ribs and steak were not so great, the steak was a bit chewy and tasteless and the ribs only tasted like the BBQ sauce that they were covered in, and they were very small, the chips were delicious as was the desserts.

All in all I'd give the Pedal Pusher 8 out of 10

We dropped in to the Pedal Pusher for a meal on a Sunday night. The waitress was friendly and we were informed of the specials. She gave us enough time to choose our meal but when we had made our decisions one of us was told our choice was not available. Not a good start.
In the end, one of us chose the Ribeye ($34) and the other chose the Pork Belly ($28).
We waited about half an hour - but what a disappointment when they arrived! They were served on oversized white plates and the food looked lost on them.
The steak was served with chunky chips and a fried egg but there were only about 8 chips of normal size.
My partner felt like walking out when he saw what arrived.
The food itself was definitely tasty but there was not enough of it for the price.
We had planned to stay for dessert but skipped that and got takeaways on the way home as we were still hungry.
I wouldn't recommend the Pedal Pusher for a family and I don't see us returning.
