The design decor in black, white and red is sleek, but Aikmans is a bit style over substance. Alright food and alright wine ideal for sharing in none-too-fussy groups, platters and tapas in particular a big draw for parties. But don't expect any intimate dinners to stay intimate for long or the food to be that sophisticated. This place really has its eye on the larger crowds and groups of mates
You can't go wrong with something to graze and a Monteith's in the outdoors area, which is do-able all year round thanks to the log fire and scorching garden heaters keeping it thoroughly toasty.
