Not once did this film feel slow, nor did it particularly feel like a kid's film. It was funny, surprising, with great jokes and visual gags, but also with a real heart. Universal Pictures has achieved a Pixar-esque standard of quality, which is the most flattering comparison I think one can make in animation these days. Wonderful.

This was a great movie, for both kids and adults.... My kids sat still the whole time, and they loved the 3D effects....
Steve Carrell was fantastically cast, as was Russell Brand, and the minions will be a hit at christmas..... as long as they are not too expensive...

Well Master 6 has been dying to see Despicable Me & he finally saw it on the weekend! He LOVED IT! Even his Dad really enjoyed it!

Has asked to go back again in the school holidays! All weekend he was quoting the movie & giggling about the "Minons photo copying their bums" along with a raft of other funny things!

Just got back from a preview screening of Despicable Me with my 3 1/3 year old daughter.
An absolute must-see - I loved it - and my daughter simply remarked "that was great fun wasn't it daddy".
Steve Carrell's best role yet...it most definitely will be one of the highlights of the movie year.
